10 Natural Foods That Can Give You A Glowing Skin On Wedding Day

But, the wedding day is still bound to be extra special, and a girl completely deserves to look and feel her best. To look and feel your best, a healthy diet is an absolute must – because what you eat is how you look. Here is a list of ten natural foods that will give you a glowing skin on your wedding day if you religiously include them in your pre-wedding diet: 1. Papaya If you check what goes into your skin cream, you will often find papaya to be an active ingredient. That is because this fruit contains enzymes like chymopapain and papain that come with multiple skin benefits. Chymopapain helps soothe skin inflammation while papain aids in fading of scars and blemishes. Applying mashed papaya on your face as a mask helps improve your skin clarity to a great extent. Because it contains many other essential vitamins and minerals, having papaya as a fruit is really the best option for you. 2. Tomato Tomatoes contain a phytochemical, or plant chemical called Lycopene. It is a pigment belonging to the carotene and the carotenoid group that gives a tomato its bright red colour. For you, lycopene can spike collagen production which will keep your skin supple, toned, and youthful. Collagen is a protein that forms the main texture and structure of your skin. It also helps delay the ageing process, and most anti-ageing treatments involve methods that increase collagen levels in your body. So tomato, being a natural source of collagen that boosts lycopene, it is a great inclusion in your pre-wedding diet.  Tomatoes also contain antioxidants which speed up the cell renewal process of your skin leaving it healthy and glowing. 3. Avocado While most fruits are high in carbohydrates and sugar, avocado, also known as butter fruit is enriched with healthy fats. The monounsaturated fats present in avocado will keep your skin soft and supple, and will also help your body absorb the fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamins A, D, E and K. You can consume avocado as a whole fruit, in the form of juice or in salads. A well-known preparation using avocado is guacamole and is pretty simple to make at home. Just skin one avocado and mash the fruit. Add finely chopped tomatoes, garlic cloves and onions to it, along with salt to taste and mix well. If you want to fancy it up a little, you can also add fragrant herbs like cilantro and parsley. 4. Alternatively, you could also apply turmeric externally after mixing it with yoghurt. 6. Salmon In addition to promoting a healthy metabolism, salmon can also do wonderful things for your skin. If not all of these, try including at least five or six out of ten in your daily diet.
