Q. What is Grow Fit’s Baguette?
One of the world’s most celebrated breads and one of France's most symbolic foods. Simply put they are long thin loaf which has been a quintessential part of French cuisine since the 18th century. Featuring an incredible deep-golden crackly crust, airy, steamy and yeasty center riddled with holes that is just waiting to be torn out. There have been plenty of baguette spin-offs. We try our best to replicate the authentic flavor, Bon appétit !
Q. How is it made?
Our Baguettes are hand-made, and use special baking techniques at two temperatures. Making a baguette is a surprisingly simple affair; the ingredients are pure and simple consisting of water, flour, salt and yeast. Our bakers start by whisking all the ingredients followed by kneading and folding the light yeast dough until elastic and smooth. After being left to rest the dough is gently divided, flattened out and rolled into its signature shape. It is then baked at two temperature techniques 250oC and 200oC for 30 mins with gluten and water until golden brown and dusted with flour.
Q. How is it used?
Holy bread grail, you can practically feel the crusty goodness just out of the package. They’re fantastic on their own, but take your loaf to a whole new level by splitting in two and top it with some cheese or spread with dollops of butter and homemade jam and dunk in a cup of coffee or lightly toast it to accompany soup. If you are looking for a warm, nutritious, and perfectly-proofed baguette then this for you.
Q. Why should I buy it?
Fermentation is the chemical breakdown of carbohydrate and sugar naturally found in grain flour by dry yeast to carbon dioxide causing gas bubbles to form, which has a leavening effect on dough.
In our bread making process we spend enough hours proofing the bread. This allows fermentation to occur and some of the gluten to be broken down. In return it makes it easier for your body to digest.
Q. Why should I make the switch?
Our Baguettes are prepared using all natural and simple ingredients. It does not contain preservatives and chemicals as opposed to store-bought ones. And of course we make sure that added sugar is within its limits so you get a low sugar, preservative free end product.
